Meeting Great Grandma and Grandpa Trochmann

We visited many family members in Minnesota, but our purpose in going was for Jayden to meet his Great Grandma and Grandpa Trochmann. (Marilyn's parents)
They were very excited to finally meet our little guy!

Grandma T.'s sister was there visiting when we were there and she asked Gma if she could hold Jayden. Gma said, "No, you have enough of your own, this one is MINE!"
It was SO cute! (And she didn't let her either!)

Cuddling with Great Grandma...

Great Grandma is very strong! She carried Jayden all over the place, and he isn't light!
Jayden rode with Great Grandma in the boat...
Great Grandpa made the swing Gma and Jayden are swinging on!
Jayden enjoyed sleeping in his Great Grandma's arms...
and she enjoyed it too!

Minnesota Trip

We rented a Hummer H3 in Minnesota! Jamie was VERY excited!
I think Jayden liked it too! While we were in Minneapolis, we visited an "Art" Park. It was interesting, although I couldn't relate to many of the exhibits. I did like the giant spoon and cherry though!
Jamie liked the stick horse...

We visited a lot of people! We stayed with Jim's sister, Margarethe, in Minneapolis and Marilyn's sister, Monk, in Moorhead. Jayden was a trooper and was happy most of the time. He eventually got frustrated with riding in the car since we took a 3 hour road trip...twice! But...he did okay. He sure was happy to get out of the carseat when we were done driving!
Aunt Monk and Jayden...
Aunt Margarethe and Jayden... (This was taken around midnight after driving for 3 hours!)

Having fun with Grandpa...

Cuddling with Grandma...
Jamie reading the sports section of the newspaper to Jayden in the car...
Jayden LOVES taking his bath...
Happy Boy!
Jayden thinks his Uncle Jared is "COOL!"
On our last day in Minnesota, Jamie's Uncle Rayn invited us to his Lake House! The house is beautiful! Then...he took us for a ride in his boat. It was very pretty and very relaxing.

Jessica and Tyler

Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE this little boy! Tyler has been such a special part of my life since he was born. We have so many fun memories together!

It's so hard to believe that he will be starting 1st grade in the Fall! Time flies. He read to me while he was visiting and he is an AWESOME reader! I'm so proud of you Ty!

Jessica and Tyler flew from Washington to meet Jayden. While they were here we went to the Dinosaur Museum, not far from our house.
Tyler was SO good with Jayden. He had a special job in the car...he was in charge of putting Jayden's pacifier in his mouth if he cried. He took his job very seriously and did a great job!

It's so neat to think that I was watching Tyler when he was younger than Jayden!
Now, Tyler helped me watch my son.

Jayden just loves Tyler. Tyler would play Peek-a-Boo with Jayden and make him smile...

Of course, I can't forget about Jessica!!
Jessica was a mentor to me in college and we built a friendship that has been such an encouragement to me. She has taught me so many things about relationships, marriage, and being a mother. I love you Jess! Thanks for flying out to visit. It means so much to me!

And...what would a trip to our house be without Rock Band and Mario Cart!?!? Jamie has grown to love Tyler too!

Laughs and Giggles

I love my Uncle Jared!

Jayden took his first airplane trip to Minnesota this past week!
This was the first time Jayden met his Uncle Jared.
He loved to smile at his Uncle.

Jared was giving Jayden some good advice...

I have more pictures of our trip, I'll post them later...

Happy Birthday Gramma Goose!

We celebrated my mom's birthday on June 16th.
We went to Red Robin and I made her a Pineapple Upside Down cake! We love you Mom!

My sister is PREGNANT!!

Jenn is going to have a BABY!
Yay! We are all very excited for her! Craig and Jenn told Ryan and Jessica by giving them these bibs. I thought it was a such a cute idea. They are so excited to have a baby in the family! They are going to be great older siblings, and a big help!
I love you sister and words can't express how excited I am for Baby DeJager to get here! I can't believe we are actually "Moms!" You are such a good mom to Ryan and Jessica, and I know you're going to be an awesome mommy to baby D!
We are praying for you, the miracle growing inside of you, and for your family during this time!
See you in July!
P.S. My sister-in-law is pregnant too! Check our her blog...M & B!
P.S.S. My cousin Aimee is also pregnant!
This means Jayden is going to have 3 more cousins at the beginning of next year! Yay!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

We are celebrating Jamie's 1st Father's Day. Jayden absolutely LOVES his daddy. When Daddy is talking in the room, he has Jayden's full attention. When Daddy walks in and says hi, Jayden's face lights up with a smile. These two boys have spent many mornings together while mommy was at work and Jayden loved it!

Jamie is such a great daddy. He takes Jayden on walks and is constantly explaining life to him (even though Jayden can't understand yet). Jayden loves to "dance" with Jamie. Jamie puts on music and Jayden stands against Jamie's chest and the two dance together. Here's a picture of them dancing. Jayden loves it!

Jayden stamped his hand on a baseball and gave it to daddy for Father's Day.

Jamie also reads to Jayden. Jayden loves to look at all his books. He is going to be such a good reader because daddy is always reading to him!

The boys also just love to hang out. Jayden is a very content little boy. Daddy can even play Mario Cart with Jayden on his lap! SO talented!
And...a lot of the time, the boys just play. Thank you Jamie for being such a great daddy to our son. He loves you and so do I!
